Hymen Reader founded Reader’s Wholesale Distributors in 1935. The company has remained a privately owned family business for four generations, passing through the capable hands of Reader, his son-in-law Leonard Burke, his grandson Lucky Burke, and his great-grandson Adam Burke.

Today Readers Wholesale is one of the 20 largest distributors in North America services 2500 dealers in a variety of residential and commercial floor covering products in the Gulf Coast region of the United States. Our corporate headquarters is located in Houston, Texas. Additionally, we have cross-dock facilities in Austin, Texas, San Antonio, Texas, and New Orleans, Louisiana. We also service most of the state of Mississippi.
